2022 Debutantes


Miss Lauren Grace Brotherton
Miss Lauren Grace Brotherton is the daughter of David and Erica Brotherton of Osprey. She is an Honors and AP student at Pine View School and works as a barista at Starbucks coffee. Lauren is the Content Management Editor for her school’s yearbook staff, the Assistant Editor In Chief for her school’s literary magazine club, is a published photographer in The Independent, and a member of her school’s HOSA club for which she has won multiple regional awards. Lauren volunteers her time as a student teacher’s assistant for a calculus teacher and at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Lauren is also proficient in many areas of art and music, and hopes to become a doctor of medicine after college.

Miss Rosario "Rose" Mai Calleja
Miss Rosario “Rose” Mai Calleja is the daughter of Dr. Joseph and Giao Calleja of Sarasota. She is a senior at Pine View School and plans to pursue a career in medicine. Passionate about service to youth, Rose is president of the Key Club, founder and president of the Coexistence Club, and co-president of the Duct Tape Club at her school. She volunteers weekly with elementary students to empower and foster personal connections through creative STEM projects. Recipient of the Yale Book Award, she is also a part of National Honor Society, HOSA, Amnesty International, the Family Safety Alliance Board, and the Riverview Varsity Tennis Team.

Miss Gabrielle Lauren Cannon
Miss Gabrielle Lauren Cannon is the daughter of Dr. James Cannon and Dr. Stephanie Caradonna. She attends Pine View School where she is the President of Ignite Club, Vice President of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, and a member of the National Honor Society. Gabrielle plays flute and piccolo in the Pine View band. She has run for Venice High School’s varsity track team for the past three years. Gabrielle volunteers weekly at the Good Samaritan Pharmacy and Health Services free clinic and at a local soup kitchen. Gabrielle attends Youth Group at Epiphany Cathedral.

Miss Iris Celeste Dahlborg
Miss Iris Celeste Dahlborg is the daughter of Martin and Heidi Dahlborg of Nokomis. While born in Sarasota, Iris has moved back and forth between Florida and Sweden throughout her life. She is a senior at Pine View School where she is co-president of the club Students Organized for Animal Rights, and historian of her school’s National Honor Society chapter. She participates in Planned Parenthood’s Peer Education program to help provide reliable information about current issues to other students. When not in the Sailor Circus arena where she performs high wire, clowning, acrobatic roller skating, and aerial silks, Iris enjoys baking, going to the beach, and playing with her dogs.

Miss Abigail "Abby" Monaco Duplissey
Miss Abigail Monaco Duplissey, also known as Abby, is the daughter of Jeremy and Kimberly Duplissey of Sarasota. She attends Cardinal Mooney High School. Abby plays golf, is part of a water skiing team, and enjoys many other outdoor activities. She is motivated by making the people she loves proud of her. She values her alone time and loyalty very much.

Miss Olivia Reese Fontaine
Miss Olivia Reese Fontaine is the daughter of Jennifer Fonatine and the late Richard Fontain of Sarasota. She is a senior at Riverview High School in the IB program. She runs cross country and track along with being involved in honors societies and clubs at school. Outside of school she volunteers at Ashton Elementary teaching young students how to sing and dance. In her free time she loves to read books and hang out with friends. She is so grateful for her family and their never ending support. Olivia is extremely honored to be a part of the 2022 debutantes.

Miss Hana Faith Han
Miss Hana Faith Han is the daughter of Dr. Scott and Gina Han of Osprey. She is a senior attending Pine View School. She loves taking on new challenges that allow her to push the limits of her creativity and curiousity. Hana is Yearbook Editor-in-Chief, Key Club vice president, co-president of Duct Tape Networks, co-president and co-founder of the school’s book club, vice president of Bake4Sake (a Sarasota chapter for a nationwide nonprofit), Coexistence Club vice president, Amnesty International secretary, and an international qualifying member of HOSA. In her free time she enjoys playing the harp, jamming on the piano, singing in the shower, and freaking out about a good book.

Miss Isabella "Bella" Amalia Iannuzzi
Miss Isabella “Bella” Amalia Iannuzzi is the daughter of Domenick and Denise Iannuzzi of Sarasota. Bella is an honor roll student at Laurel Springs. As an internationally award-winning classical ballerina, she is the youngest trainee with the Gulf Coast Studio Company. A four-time recipient of the President’s Volunteer Service Award, Bella established Dancers Donate Life, a 501c3. She founded Bella’s Band-Aid Brigade to collect character band-aids for sick children in hospitals. Bella recently published her first children’s book, Bella’s Brigade for Hope with proceeds being given to Donate Life America. Bella is focused on pursuing a career with a professional ballet company while obtaining a degree in psychology.

Miss Alexandra "Lexie" Jo James
Alexandra Jo James is the daughter of Dr. Raymond James and Kathryn James of Boca Grande. She attends Pine View School and takes classes through the Dual Enrollment program at the State College of Florida, University of South Florida, and University of Florida. Alexandra graduated Magna Cum Laude from the State College of Florida with her Associate in Arts Degree during her junior year of high school, as a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honor society. She competes in and practices ballroom dance with Dynasty Dance. Alexandra volunteers as a Teen Attorney at Teen Court of Sarasota and works as a hostess at Scarpa’s Coastal. She has an internship with Judge Donna Padar (former Sarasota Debutante) in the Sarasota County Court and aspires to become an attorney.

Miss Lilly Claudia Lynch
Miss Lilly Claudia Lynch is the daughter of Samuel and Bethany Lynch of Bradenton. Lilly attebds Lakewood Ranch High School. She is a student athletic trainer and hopes to work in the field of sports medicine in her future. Being involved in her community is a priority of Lilly’s. She is active in various clubs and is the historian of student government. Outside of school, she is very passionate about Younglife and Wyldlife East Manatee. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, exercising, bible study and reading.

Miss Lily Anne Maglio
Miss Lily Anne Maglio is the daughter of Altom and Jennifer Maglio of Sarasota. Lily is a senior at Pine View School. She is a competitive dancer, as well as an oboe player for the Pine View Band. She participates in numerous clubs including the neuroscience club, the biomedical engineering society, UNICEF club, HOSA, and Students Organized for Animal Rights. She also spends her time volunteering as an assistant dance teacher for children’s dance classes and as a dispatch worker at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. She plans on majoring in neuroscience and aspires to become a neurosurgeon or neurologist.

Miss Isabella Patricia Nebel
Miss Isabella Patricia Nebel is the daughter of Mark and Kelly Nebel of Sarasota. Bella has attended Pine View School since sixth grade, but for her senior year she transferred to IMG Academy to grow as an athlete in Track and Field. She used to compete for Sarasota High School, and holds their school record for the 300m hurdle. Bella is also extremely dedicated to her academics and community service. She volunteers as a teacher’s assistant, sings for nursing homes, and helps at Saint Vincent’s Academy.

Miss Emily Josephine O'Neill
Miss Emily Josephine O’Neill is the daughter of Dr. Patrick O'Neill and Ms.Heather Chase O’Neill of Sarasota. Emily is a student in the International Baccalaureate Program at Riverview High School. She has been Vice President for four years and plans to continue leadership positions in the future. Emily is a member of National Honor Society and has ran for the varsity track team. She enjoys participating in community service, including mission trips to Guatemala, and raising funds for the Children’s Miracle Network. As a retired, six-year performer in the Sailor Circus, she now spends her free time in the gym lifting weights or with family and friends.

Miss Holliston Olivia Shepard
Miss Holliston Olivia Shepard is the daughter of John and Lisa Shepard of Lakewood Ranch. Holliston is a student in the International Baccalaureate Program at Southeast High School. She is Vice President of National Honor Society, the Captain of the Varsity Golf Team, as well as an active member of Student Government Association and Key Club International. Outside of school, she enjoys giving back to her community through volunteering with a multitude of organizations.

Miss Lilly Mae Stewart
Miss Lilly Mae Stewart is the daughter of Christopher and Julie Stewart of Sarasota. Lilly Mae is a senior in the International Baccalaureate program at Riverview High School. She is a four-year cheerleader and loves supporting the Rams. Lilly Mae has been a part of the lacrosse team at Riverview for the past three years and has enjoyed playing with her teammates. She is the treasurer of Senior Board and is involved in National Honor Society as well as Rho Kappa Honor Society. Outside of school Lilly Mae is a part of Young Life and is a youth leader at St. Thomas More Church where serves the community.

Miss Abigail Kristine Sweitzer
Miss Abigail Sweitzer of Pine View School is the daughter of Jim Sweitzer and Erika Banfelder of Sarasota. She is the Conference Coordinator for Model United Nations, where she has won numerous accolades and chaired multiple committees. She is an active member of Chinese Honor Society, the youth representative board member of the Sarasota Sister Cities Association, board member of SRQVolunteen, and is an active member of the League of Women Voters SRQ in order to encourage informed and active participation in politics and elections. She is currently co-authoring a Florida bill to promote more student representation on School Board decisions. In the spring, she will be serving as a Page for the Florida Congress. In college, Abigail wishes to major in Political Science, and double minor in Chinese studies and German studies.

Miss Tierney Noelle Thornhill
Miss Tierney Noelle Thornhill is the daughter of Larry and Tiffany Thornhill of Bradenton. Tierney is a senior at Lakewood Ranch High School. She is a student athletic trainer at the high school and plans to pursue Athletic Training as a future career. She is the Co-founder and Co-President of the Girls in White Coats club and is passionate about empowering other women who want to go into medicine. She enjoys painting, going to the gym, and spending time with her family. She’s very involved with her youth group and has hopes to continue spreading God’s love throughout the community.
