Miss Dabney Elizabeth Bentley is the daughter of Morgan and Elizabeth Bentley of Lakewood Ranch. She attends The Out-of-Door Academy, where she has been enrolled since PK. Dabney volunteers her time at various local charities, including All Faiths Food Bank, and school service activities. Dabney is looking forward to studying advertising and marketing at college in the fall of 2021.
Miss Hailey Katharine Biter is the daughter of Jesse and Katie Biter of Sarasota. She attends Cardinal Mooney High School where she is excelling while taking on three AP classes. Hailey volunteers her time tutoring younger students during the Salvation Army after school program. Hailey looks forward to studying business and economics in college starting in the fall of 2021.
Miss Dylan Elizabeth Black is the daughter of David Black and Valerie Leatherwood of Sarasota. She attends The Out-of-Door Academy where she is the debate club president and founder and co-president of Active Impact. Dylan works as a Peer Educator for Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida and is an intern for Representative Margaret Good.
Miss Avery Elizabeth Blechta is the daughter of William and Mary Ellen Blechta of Sarasota. She attends Cardinal Mooney High School where she is a member of the National Honor Society, Mooney Medical Club, 3-year varsity member and team captain of XC and Track team and a pole vaulter. She is a volunteer at the Boys and Girls club and serves on the SRQ Volunteer Program board.
Miss Karina Angelina Bodor, daughter of Dr. Daniel and Heidi Bodor of Sarasota. She attends Pine View School and is a member of the National Honor Society and the Science National Honor Society. Karina is a dedicated varsity rower on the Sarasota Crew team. She volunteers as a foster for shelter animals and has won multiple awards for her artwork. In college she plans to study physics, math, and design.
Miss Sophie Bella Fedder is the daughter of Darrin Fedder and Shannon Fedder of Sarasota. She attends Lakewood Ranch High School and has been recognized on the Dean’s list as well as participated with the Student Admissions Team for three years. She has competed multiple times in the Junior Olympics with the highest-ranking volleyball team in Florida and is a current member of Sarasota Teen Court.
Miss Mary Kathryn “Kaki” France is the daughter of Lesley and Michael France of Sarasota. She attends Pine View School and is a member of FBLA and Rho Kappa Honor Society. She is a titleholder in the Miss America Organization as Miss Orlando’s Outstanding Teen, and is a certified Real Talk Substance Abuse Ambassador. She has donated 2,500 books to local students, worked with over a dozen organizations to further community development, and received the 2020 Anne Frank Humanitarian Award for her service work.
Miss Ava Devereaux Frank is the daughter of Brad and Sharon Frank of Lakewood Ranch. She attends Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School where she is a member of the National Honor Society, Captain of the varsity cheerleading squad and on the Editorial Team for the yearbook. Ava is involved with a variety of clubs at her school and actively participates in community involvement for the Boys and Girls Club.
Miss Elizabeth “Lizzy” Ashby Karp Hauser is the daughter of Samantha and the late Jerome Karp Hauser. She resides with Richard and Tammy Karp of Sarasota. She attends The Out-of-Door Academy where she is the leader of two clubs and participates on both the varsity soccer and lacrosse teams. Elizabeth is active in the Sarasota Youth Orchestra, where she plays the trumpet, and is also a lacrosse coach at i9 Sports.
Miss Sydney Ashbrook Hays is the daughter of Michael and Chrissy Hays of Sarasota. She attends Cardinal Mooney High School where she has participated in Student Government as treasurer of the junior class. Along with that she is a member of the National Honor Society, captain of the varsity tennis team, and is an intern at Mote Marine Laboratory where she volunteers and helps with various research
Miss Jina’ Lee Horger is the daughter of Lee Chan and Sheri Horger of Bradenton. An honor student who attends Abeka Academy, Pensacola, Florida online program. An avid tennis player and track and field runner for Lakewood Ranch High School. A devoted Taekwondo, 2nd Degree Black Belt, and Junior instructor. A member of the community service Lakewood Leaders. An active volunteer at her Dermatologist office, prepping for her future degree.
Miss Ansley Elizabeth Jackson is the daughter of David and Molly Jackson. She attends Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School; she serves as the spirit director for the student government and is a part of the yearbook committee. She’s also the varsity cheerleading captain and varsity lacrosse captain. Ansley has volunteered for two mission trips in Jamaica for the last two summers and enjoys being an active volunteer in the community.
Miss Elizabeth Ann Jeffrey is the daughter of Al and Leslie Jeffrey. Elizabeth is a senior at Sarasota High School. She is a board member of Sarasota Bay Watch, President of Sailor Bay Watch, Member of National Honor Society and Vice President of TSA. In her spare time, she loves SCUBA diving, water skiing and wakeboarding. She plans to continue her education at the University of Georgia next fall.
Miss Kareena Goodwyn Legare is the daughter of Drs. Keith and Anit Legare of Sarasota. She attends Pine View School where she is the historian of UNICEF Club, and a member of the National Honor Society and Rho Kappa. She runs Varsity track for Venice High School and coaches soccer at FC Sarasota. Kareena is active at the Church of the Redeemer where she acolytes and participates in mission work.
Miss Sylvia Evelyn Liszewski is the daughter of Dr. Kenneth and Stacy Liszewski of Sarasota. She attends Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School where she plays on the Varsity Volleyball team (indoor & beach), is a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society and Ministry. When Sylvia is not training for volleyball, she enjoys graphic design and volunteering as an assistant coach for younger athletes.
Miss Avery Francis Marx is the daughter of Orion and Lisa Marx of Sarasota. She attends Sarasota High School where she is in the AICE program and involved in activities including National Honor Society, Science National Honor Society, MaST and TSA. Avery has competed nationally for the past several years on an All-Star cheerleading team, enjoys volunteering in our community and is an active member at
Church of the Redeemer.
Miss Ashley Elisabeth Pelton is the daughter of Ms. Susie Pelton of Sarasota. She attends Pine View School where she is a member of the National Honor Society and HOSA-Future Health Professionals. She rows for the Sarasota Crew Varsity Girls team and served as Assistant Captain. Ashley is active with Meals on Wheels of Sarasota where she has volunteered for the past several years.
Miss Cecelia Ellen Plass, daughter of Dale and Patricia Plass of Sarasota. At Pine View School, she’s National Honor Society secretary, member of Key Club, HOSA, and Science NHS. A varsity athlete and asst captain of Sarasota Crew, she’s won many state titles, medaled at US Rowing Youth Nationals, and the prestigious Charles regatta. She volunteers at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, plays viola, will pursue a medical career, and continue competitive rowing.
Miss Isabelle Rhodes Radford is the daughter of Kevin and Mary Pat Radford of Sarasota. She attends Sarasota High School and is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Government and many community service clubs. She enjoyed working as a Messenger in Tallahassee serving under Margaret Good. This time in the state’s capital inspired her to be an active member in Teen Court and work personally with SPARCC’s Attorney.
Miss Ryan Elizabeth Pari Walker, daughter of Stephen and Kimberly Walker of Sarasota. She’s a Senior at Cardinal Mooney High School and a member of St. Martha Catholic Church. Ryan enjoys volunteering, especially with children at Bay Haven School of Basics Plus where she was named Youth Volunteer of the Year. Ryan interns with the Honorable Charles Williams for the 12th Judicial Circuit Court. She is also employed at Shore.
